We’re often asked to create a wide range of different applications. These profiles is where we typically start. Generally if there are very light loads (50kg and under), we might look to using the 30mm profiles, but as a general rule, we can cover most applications with 40×40 profiles. The key lies in the overall design, support – if possible, and understanding what your project is about and what it needs.

Generally if there are very light loads (50kg and under), we might look to using the 30mm profiles, but as a general rule, we can cover most applications with 40×40 profiles. The key lies in the overall design, support and understanding what your project needs.
40 x 80mm
- profiles for applications that need a bump in strength
The way that we look to use 40×80 profiles is based on minimising deflection and/or providing extra slots to work with. So if there’s an application where your span needs to be a little longer, needs an extra slot for a panel or mounting equipment we’ll use a 40×80 to make sure your design is reached. Combined with the 40×40 profiles, we cover almost all our projects with just these handful of options.

40 x 120, 40 x 160mm profiles
- longer spans and higher loads
When it needs to be a long span, there’s no chance of supports and it has to remain level, we’ll opt to using the larger sections in this group. Before looking at using these in your design make sure you get in touch with us so we can check that what you’re asking for is what you need.
